Since 1986, the iconic Putt Putt sign at Mermaid Beach has been a local landmark. Unfortunately, it couldn’t withstand Cyclone Alfred. Universal Cranes is proud to have played a role in the recovery efforts, helping to restore a piece of history. We look forward to seeing the sign standing tall once again soon!🌪️ Cyclone Alfred Recovery - Cranes in Action🚧The damage caused by Cyclone Alfred has been devastating for many in South East Queensland, with recovery costs expected to reach at least $1.8 billion, including power restoration and infrastructure repairs. In the face of natural disasters, cranes play a vital role in the recovery process—assisting with debris removal, infrastructure repairs, and power restoration. Many of our CICA members have been actively involved in the recovery efforts, including Universal Cranes, who were photographed carrying out the impressive task of repositioning a large golf ball that had fallen during the storm. We hope everyone remains safe during this time and extend a heartfelt thank you to all the crane teams and emergency workers in South East Queensland who are helping communities bounce back.Image source: @AustralianBroadcastingCorporation#CICA2025 #CycloneAlfred #CranesForRecovery #EssentialLifting #InfrastructureRestoration #QueenslandStrong #RebuildingStronger #CICA ...
