Through their involvement in the International Women’s Day Fun Run in Brisbane, Universal Cranes recently raised over $13,400 for breast cancer research. This remarkable achievement places Universal Cranes among the top 5 companies that raised the highest amount of funds for Mater Cancer Research in 2024.

The sea of pink wave was full of energy, smiles, and happiness. We had a crane positioned along the course, displaying a Universal Cranes flag. Our crane provided a scenic backdrop for over 26,000 people who were running, jogging, and walking through the event, allowing them to take photos.

The proceeds will be directed to the Mater Foundation, a non-profit entity dedicated to advancing medical research, education, and patient care at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane.

In addition to their participation in the fun run, Universal Cranes hosted a fundraising Beer & Burgers Event and matched every dollar raised at the event.

By the campaign’s conclusion, Universal Cranes amassed over $13,400 for the Mater Foundation.

Dashelle Bailey, Manager of Strategy & Growth at Smithbridge Group, expressed her pride in the company’s fundraising endeavors, affirming that “Universal Cranes is unwavering in its commitment to giving back to the community and supporting critical causes such as breast cancer research. We’re thrilled to have been able to contribute to the Mater Foundation’s initiatives in this manner for a third time.”

Breast cancer remains one of the most prevalent forms of cancer among women, with one in eight women receiving a diagnosis in their lifetime. The Mater Foundation’s breast cancer research program is dedicated to pioneering new treatments and diagnostic methodologies to enhance patient outcomes.
