Universal MiniCranes Visits QLD Community Kindy

18 June 2019

In conjunction with CICA’s community engagement program, our team from Universal MiniCranes recently visited a number of excited children at a QLD Community Kindergarten.

Their interest was piqued as we safely tracked our 4.9t mini crane into the centre’s backyard and set up an exclusion zone. The children listened intently as our team explained the basics of crane operation and the role of the operator.

We demonstrated a lift of beloved ‘Teddy’, before our little friends got to put on PPE, step into the cab, and try their hand at the controls.

It was a wonderful day of engaging with and educating some young minds who may be leaders in our industry one day. Not only did the children enjoy themselves in the mini crane but so did the staff!

Thank you to CICA for helping to coordinate this day, and to Pace Cranes for the kind donation of model cranes for the children. What a great opportunity to educate these future crane operators, engineers, and riggers!
